The Padres succumbed to the insanity that is Coors Field, allowing 14 hits leading to 12 runs. Joey Hamilton (12-12) takes the loss after giving up 7 runs in just 4 innings. Scott Sanders allowed 2 more on a 2-run home run by Mike Lansing.

Matt Clement made his MLB debut, tossing one inning, allowing 4 hits and 3 runs in a less than memorable debut.

The offense once again disappeared, only scrounging 2 runs in the 8th inning.

Sold Larry Haney to the Oakland Athletics.
