Released Juan Bonilla.

• 2B/3B Bonilla, acquired from the Cleveland Indians via trade in April 1981, made his MLB debut as a Padre on April 9, 1981. Appeared in 296 games over 3 seasons, hitting .262 with 5 HR and 78 RBI.

1991

Selected Jose Melendez off waivers from the Seattle Mariners.
