1993

Traded Jay Gainer to the Colorado Rockies. Received Denis Boucher.

• 1B Gainer, selected by the Padres in the 24th round of the 1990 draft, appeared only at the minor league levels, rising to AA Wichita in 1992.
• P Boucher would go on to appear only at AAA Las Vegas during the 1992 season. Traded to the Montreal Expos in July.

1994

Released Kevin Elster.

• SS Elster, signed as a free agent in December 1993, appeared only in spring training.

2003

Signed Mark Quinn as a free agent.

• OF Quinn would go on to appear only at AAA Portland during the 2003 season. Released in July.

2004

Signed Ben Petrick as a free agent.

• C/OF Petrick would go on to appear only at AAA Portland during the 2004 season. Released in July.

2006

Traded David Ross to the Cincinnati Reds. Received Bobby Basham.

• C Ross, acquired from the Pittsburgh Pirates via trade in July 2005, appeared in 11 games during the 2005 season, hitting .353.
• P Basham would go on to appear only at the minor league levels, reaching AA San Antonio in 2007. Released in November 2007.
