Dick Baney player rights sold to the Chicago White Sox.

• P  Baney, purchased from the Baltimore Orioles in March 1972, appeared only at AAA Hawaii during the 1972 season.

1992

Selected Steve Pegues off waivers from the Detroit Tigers.

• OF Pegues would go on to appear only at AAA Las Vegas during the 1992 and 1993 seasons. Granted free agency in April 1994.

2000

The San Francisco Giants returned Dave Maurer.

• P Maurer is returned to the Padres after being selected in the 1999 rule 5 draft. Originally selected by the Padres in the 11th round of the 1997 draft. Would go on to make his MLB debut as a Padre on July 22. Appeared in 17 games over 2 season, posting a 1-0 record with a 5.49 ERA. Released in June 2001.

2011

Selected Pat Neshek off waivers from the Minnesota Twins.

• P Neshek would go on to appear in 25 games during the 2011 season, posting a 1-1 record with a 4.01 ERA. Granted free agency in September.

2017

Released Paul Clemens.

• P Clemens, selected off waivers from the Miami Marlins in June 2016, appeared in 16 games (12 starts) during the 2016 season, posting a 3-5 record with a 3.67 ERA.
