Signed Craig Breslow as a free agent.

• P Breslow would go on to appear in 14 games during the 2005 season, including his MLB debut on July 23, 2005. Posted no record with a 2.20 ERA. Granted free agency in December.

2007

Signed Wilton Lopez as a free agent.

• P Lopez would go on to appear only at the minor league levels during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Selected off waivers by the Houston Astros in April 2009.

2012

Signed Dennis Tankersley as a free agent.

• P Tankersley returns to San Diego after playing for 3 seasons (2002-2004) before being traded to the Kansas City Royals in November 2004. Would not appear in a game during the 2012 season and would be released in April. Appeared in 27 games (16 starts) posting a 1-10 record with a 7.61 ERA.
