Traded Roberto Pena to the Oakland Athletics. Received Ramon Webster.

• IF Pena, selected from the Philadelphia Phillies by the Padres with the 48th pick of the 1968 expansion draft, appeared in 139 games during the 1969 season, hitting .250 with 4 HR and 30 RBI.
• 1B/LF Webster would go on to appear in 105 games over 2 seasons, hitting .250 with 2 HR and 11 RBI. Returned to Oakland in May 1971.

1981

Bill Fahey player rights sold to the Detroit Tigers.

• C Fahey, acquired from the Texas Rangers via trade in October 1978, appeared in 166 games over 2 seasons, hitting .271 with 4 HR and 41 RBI.

2001

Traded Carlos Almanzar to the New York Yankees. Received David Lee.

• P Almanzar, acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays via trade in December 1998, appeared in 90 games over 2 seasons, posting a 4-5 record with a 5.47 ERA.
• P Lee would go on to appear in 41 games during the 2001 season, posting a 1-0 record with a 3.70 ERA. Released in November.
