1995

Purchased Rodrigo Lopez from Veracruz (Mexican).

• P Lopez would go on to make his MLB debut as a Padre on April 29, 2000. Made 6 starts during the 2000 season, posting a 0-3 record with a 8.76 ERA. Granted free agency in October 2001.

1996

Traded Luis Arroyo and Roberto Petagine to the New York Mets. Received Scott Adair and Pete Walker.

• P Arroyo, selected by the Padres in the 16th round of the 1992 draft, appeared only at the minor league levels, rising to Class A Rancho Cucamonga in 1995.
• 1B/RF Petagine, acquired from the Houston Astros via trade in December 1994, appeared in 89 games during the 1995 season, hitting .234 with 3 HR and 17 RBI.
• P Adair would go on to appear only at rookie level Idaho Falls in 1996 and be released after the season.
• P Walker would go on to appear in 1 game during the 1996 season, pitching 2/3 of an inning, walking 3 and striking out 1. Granted free agency in October 1996.

2003

Jose Flores selected by the Oakland Athletics off waivers.

• 2B/SS Flores, acquired from the Oaklans Athletics via trade in December 2002, did not appear at any level for the Padres.

2016

Signed Mike Olt as a free agent.

• 1B/3B Olt would go on to appear only at the minor league levels during the 2016 season. Granted free agency in November.
