Why? Because they share a stadium with the NFL Chargers, who have priority over them. Today was an exhibition game, and that somehow superseded an actual MLB game!
Hence the campaign to get the Padres their own ballpark!

The Pittsburgh Pirates sent Andy Bausher (minors) to the San Diego Padres to complete the trade of June 28th.
- P Bausher was released after the 2003 season at AAA Portland.
2007
Released Shea Hillenbrand.
- 1B/3B, signed as a free agent on July 27th, did not appear at any level of the Padre organization.
2015
Selected Caleb Thielbar off waivers from the Minnesota Twins.
- P Thielbar would go on to pitch at AAA EL Paso, and granted free agency after the 2015 season.

Signed Jordan Lyles as a free agent.
- P Lyles would go on to appear in 29 games (13 starts) over 2 seasons, posting a 3-7 record with a 5.53 ERA. Selected of waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers on August 5, 2018.
