Kevin Brown (15-4) was masterful, tossing a complete game 1-hit shut out in the day game of the double header. He also responsible for the first Padre run, driving in 2 with 2 outs in the 2nd inning.

Kevin Brown gave up the only hit with 2 outs in the 7th inning to Jeromy Burnitz to end his bid for the first no-hitter in Padre history.

Game 2 didn't go the Friar way, with a 2-1 lead vanishing on 2 pitches from Joey Hamilton (10-10), both first pitch fastballs sent over the wall to hand the Brewers the lead for good.




News and Notes -  Brown's 1-hitter is the 19th in franchise history.
