ENJOY BASEBALL it cried out from my ticket stub. And I tried, and I am sure I had a good time, as I can recall very few bad memories (bad losses, yes, but memories are usually good, if not great.)
Well, this game was not fun for the hometown Friars. Mark Langston struck out 12 Padres in 8 innings, cruising to victory over a a bland Eric Show, 6 runs in 6 innings.
A well attended game for 2 .500 clubs, as 50,614 were in attendance...which tells me the Beach Boys probably performed after the game....yup, I can hear Kokomo now.
