Signed Tim Stoddard as a free agent.

• P Stoddard would go on to appear in 74 games over 2 seasons, posting a 2-9 record with a 4.27 ERA including 1 save. Traded to the New York Yankees in July 1986.

Signed Marty Barrett as a free agent.

• 2B Barrett would go on to appear in 12 games during the 1991 season, hitting .188 with 1 HR and 3 RBI. Released in June 1991.
