2010

Signed Jon Garland as a free agent.

• P Garland would go on to make 33 starts during the 2010 season, posting a 14-12 record with a 3.47 ERA. Granted free agency in November 2010.

2011

Signed Greg Burke as a free agent.

• P Burke re-signs with the Padres after signing as an amateur free agent in March 2006. Made his MLB debut as a Padre on May 16, 2009. Appeared only at AAA Portland during the 2011 season and was granted free agency in November 2011. Appeared in 48 games during the 2009 season, posting a 3-3 record with a 4.14 ERA. 

Signed Jorge Cantu as a free agent.

• IF Cantu would go on to appear in 57 games during the 2011 season, hitting .194 with 3 HR and 16 RBI. Released in June 2011.

2015

Signed Jay Jackson as a free agent.

• P Jackson would go on to make his MLB debut as a Padre on September 4, 2015. Appeared in 6 games during the 2015 season, posting no record and a 6.23 ERA. Released in December 2015.

Signed Ramiro Pena as a free agent.

• IF Pena would go on to appear only at AAA El Paso during the 2015 season and be granted free agency in November 2015.

Signed Emmanuel Clase as an amateur free agent.

• P Clase would appear only at the minor league levels, reaching A level Tri-City in 2017. Traded to the Texas Rangers in May 2018.
