Craig Stimac player rights sold to the Cleveland Indians.

• C/3B Stimac, selected by the Padres in the 9th round of the 1976 draft, made his MLB debut as a Padre on August 12, 1980. Appeared in 29 games over 2 seasons, hitting .203 with 7 RBI. 

1992

Signed Dave Eiland as a free agent.

• P Eiland would go on to appear in 17 games (16 starts) over 2 seasons, posting a 0-5 record with a 5.38 ERA. Granted free agency in May 1993.

2008

Signed Jody Gerut as a free agent.

• OF Gerut would go on to appear in 137 games over 2 seasons, hitting .277 with 18 HR and 57 RBI. Traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in May 2009.

Signed Glendon Rusch as a free agent.

• P Rusch would go on to appear in 12 games during the 2008 season, posting a 1-2 record with a 6.41 ERA. Granted free agency in May 2008.
