Signed Mike Raczka as a free agent.
- P Raczka would appear only at AAA Las Vegas during the 1990 season. Released in May 1990.
2002
Signed Matt Walbeck as a free agent.
- C Walbeck did not appear at any level before being traded to the Detroit Tigers in March 2002.
2003
Sent Jeremy Fikac to the Oakland Athletics as part of a conditional deal.
- P Fikac, selected in the 19th round of the 1998 draft, made his MLB debut as a Padre on August 16, 2001. Appeared in 88 games over 2 seasons, posting a 6-7 record with a 4.25 ERA.
