• 3B Bell did not play at any level before being traded to the Oakland A's in March 1981.

1991

Signed Dann Bilardello as a free agent.

• C Bilardello would go on to appear in 32 games over 2 seasons, hitting .186 with 6 RBI. Released in October 1992.

Signed Brian Dorsett as a free agent.

• C/1B Dorsett would go on to appear in 11 games during the 1991 season, hitting .083 with 1 RBI. Traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates in August 1991.

Signed Aaron Rakers as a free agent.

• P Rakers would go on to appear in 1 game during the 2007 season, throwing 1 inning without allowing a hit. Granted free agency in October 2007.
