Selected Walter Young off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles.

• 1B Young would go on to appear only at AAA Portland during the 2006 season until his release in April 2006.

Signed Chad Qualls as a free agent.

• P Qualls would go on to appear in 77 games during the 2011 season, posting a 6-8 record with a 3.51 ERA. Granted free agency in October 2011.
