Traded Frank Reberger to the San Francisco Giants. Received Bob Barton, Bobby Etheridge and Ron Herbel.

• P Reberger, selected by the Padres from the Chicago Cubs as the 22nd pick of the 1968 expansion draft, appeared in 67 games during the 1969 season, posting a 1-2 record with a 3.59 ERA including 6 saves.
