Traded Ronald Drake and Jose Arcia to the Minnesota Twins. Received Jerry Schlegelmilch.
- C/3B Drake, selected by the Padres in the 18th round of the 1968 draft, appeared only at the minor league levels, rising to AAA Hawaii in 1971.
- 2B/SS Arcia, selected from the Chicago Cubs as the 9th pick of the 1968 expansion draft, appeared in 234 games over 2 seasons, hitting .218 with 27 RBI.
