Signed Pat Clements as a free agent.

• P Clements re-signs with the Padres after initially being acquired from the New York Yankees via trade in October 1988. Selected off waivers by the Baltimore Orioles in June 1992. Appeared in 71 games (1 start) over 4 seasons, posting a 7-2 record with a 3.60 ERA.

2010

Released Greg Burke.

• P Burke, signed as an amateur free agent in March 2006, made his MLB debut as a Padre on May 16, 2009. Appeared in 48 games during the 2009 season, posting a 3-3 record with a 4.14 ERA.

2016

Signed Scott Snodgress as a free agent.

• P Snodgress would not appear at any level and be released in March.

2017

Signed Tony Cruz as a free agent.

• C/3B Cruz would go on to appear only at AAA El Paso during the 2016 season. Granted free agency in November.
