1988

The Chicago White Sox sent Joel McKeon to the San Diego Padres to complete the trade of October 5, 1987.

• P McKeon would go on to appear only at AAA Las Vegas during the 1988 season. Granted free agency in October.

2008

Signed Tony Clark as a free agent.

• 1B Clark would go on to appear in 70 games during the 2008 season, hitting .239 with 1 HR and 11 RBI. Traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in July. 

2015

Signed James Shields as a free agent.

• P Shields would go on to make 44 starts over 2 seasons, posting a 15-14 record with a 4.00 ERA. Traded to the Chicago White Sox in June 2016.

2016

Signed Greg Reynolds as a free agent.

• P Reynolds would appear only at AAA El Paso during the 2016 season. Released in May.
