Drafted Bill Laxton from the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1970 rule 5 draft.

• P Laxton would appear in 48 games (1 start) over 2 seasons, posting a 0-3 record with a 5.10 ERA. Released in April 1975.

Vic Albury selected by the Minnesota Twins in the 1970 minor league draft.

• P Albury, acquired from the Cleveland Indians via trade in 1969, appeared only at the minor league levels.

Sold Larry Stahl to the Cincinnati Reds.

• OF/1B Stahl, selected from the New York Mets as the 26th pick of the 1968 expansion draft, appeared in 368 games over 4 seasons, hitting .227 with 18 HR and 69 RBI.
