Traded Bill Almon and Dan Briggs to the Montreal Expos. Received Dave Cash.

• UTL Almon, selected by the Padres in the 1st round of the 1974 draft, making his MLB debut as a Padre on September 2, 1974. Appeared in 429 games over 6 seasons, hitting .255 with 4 HR and 81 RBI. Led MLB in sacrifice hits in 1977 with 20.
