Signed John Roskos as a free agent.

• OF/1B Roskos would appear in 14 games during the 2000 season, hitting .037 with 1 RBI. Granted free agency in October 2000.

Signed Stan Spencer as a free agent.

• P Spencer re-signs with the Padres and would go on to appear in 23 games (21 starts) over 3 seasons, posting a 3-9 record with a 5.54 ERA. Released in 2001.

Signed Joe Vitiello as a free agent.

• 1B Vitiello would appear in 39 games during the 2000 season, hitting .250 with 2 HR and 8 RBI.

Traded Wade LeBlanc to the Florida Marlins. Received John Baker.
